Daniil Trifonov all’Hôtel de Galliffet fa volare il Fazioli

Condividiamo il post da Sinfini Music che ha ripreso una parte della session del celebre pianista russo Daniil Trifonov che ha eseguito al Fazioli dell’Istituto pezzi del suo Rachmaniana : The Russian pianist Daniil Trifonov may be young (born in just 1991), but his star is most definitely on the rise. He first shot to fame aged 20, after sweeping the board at the 2011 Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow – winning the First Prize, Gold Medal and the Audience Award, among others. And now, his latest album, Rachmaninov Variations, recorded with the Philadelphia Orchestra and conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin, is released on 28 August on Deutsche Grammophon. And he’s not only a pianist. The new album also includes one of Daniil’s own compositions, Rachmaniana. In this Sinfini Session, Daniil performs the first and fifth movements of this suite for solo piano. With special thanks to Marina Valensise at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Paris for the beautiful location and to Fazioli Pianoforti in Italy.
